Blowing a Hooley

Brrrrr.  Cold and very windy.  And wet.  Oh how lovely it is; makes such a change, you know you can grow tired of warm sunny days walking with firm aromatic ground beneath your feet...

What we need is a good fire to warm the old cockles:







Did you know that "Blowing a Hooley" comes from seafaring folk; when the captains of steamships were not able to sail up the Hooley River which runs through Calcutta, India, they would say it was "blowing a Hooley".
